This page sets out how comparisons on Temporary Tattoo Guide are produced, so you can judge the rankings for yourself rather than taking them on trust.
Comparisons are built from each brand's own published material — product catalogue, stated wear time, application instructions, pricing, guarantees, shipping terms and shopping experience — reviewed at a stated point in time. Where a figure appears in a comparison, it comes from the brand's own website unless otherwise noted.
Scores are subjective editorial judgements, not measurements. They weigh design range, realism of finish as described and demonstrated by the brand, ease of application, stated longevity, value for money and shopping experience. Two reasonable people could weight those criteria differently and arrive at a different order.
This site is funded by advertising compensation from companies featured on it. That compensation can affect which companies appear and the order in which they are presented. Our current comparison is sponsored by INKANO, which is ranked first in it. This is disclosed at the top of the comparison and on our advertising disclosure page.
We think the honest thing is to state that clearly and let you weigh it, rather than to imply an independence we do not have. Competing brands are described accurately, their genuine strengths are stated, and no negative claim is made about any brand that is not supported by their own published information.
